Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. He can't help but pocket interesting objects he comes across

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Thomas grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Thomas. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Thomas was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright.
