History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Roland alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 8 years.

Motivation: To be a Barrister again; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother
