Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. He keeps company with all sorts of races to see how they think and challenge minds foreign to his own.

History: He was born at the edge of vast desert. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Hugh was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the dire rats.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

He found a children's book about a Human Fighter who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.
