History: Bertram hails from a village terrorized by drow. At some point he was captured by drow and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

More though he will beg to come along on any journeys. He will attempt to stowaway on any ship he can in the hopes that it will get him further away.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Norman was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
