He is a bit of a macho man and will challenge people to random contests of strength and skill, and invite them to random hunting and fishing trip.

History: A powerful necromancer made him what he is. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Roland fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, John was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: Arnold hails from a village terrorized by goblins. Like his mother and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Bowyer. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He is envious of other's things. He hoards treasure, art, food, wine, and anything that he so desires. He is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Miles alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it.
