History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Ernest alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk he knows how to make people feel guilty. He is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He struck the Beggar job and began his own company from there.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and he feels kind of lost in life

His grey leather gloves and pants are well-kept, and his brown boots flare out at the collars. His hair, while still mostly silver, has prominent grey streaks. His eyes are a pleasant green.

Personality: He is witty, but his monotone delivery comes off as unnerving The war was a terrible time for him, and Don does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Don was born the youngest of three triplets. When Don reached his early adolescence his Human mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Jocelyn's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Scribe but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Jocelyn was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Wants his loneliness to end; and nothing but the best is good enough for him
