History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Bertram was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: Born in the east his family was never financially stable. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Sage hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. After a long history of fighting, Percival and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: To prove his worth to the world.

Personality: Calm and collected, he is a well trained Soapmaker. He is afraid of women and trembles around them

History: Born in the south to a Soapmaker, Alex learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
