Balimaar Gresham, Male Human [Permalink]
Personal [hide]
Description: He wears a shirt that is too small, which lets his gut show, with a ratty yellow coat over it. He has a moderate pudge and is not very fit. He has done his best to style his auburn hair to look like a famous performer. This brown eyed northerner is not easily forgotten.
Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. The war was a terrible time for him, and Balimaar does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.
History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

Don Peyton, Male Human [Permalink]
Personal [hide]
Description: This man wears a robe, a symbol of the four houses of cards around his neck, and a flail on his belt. He has a penchant for wearing a ring with an oversized sapphire on his left hand. His white hair and beard is wavy and long. His eyes are a pleasant blue.
Personality: He is a man who does what he needs to. He will acquiesce to black mail and extortion to avoid trouble. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Don is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.
History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Don's homeland. Don decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
Motivation: He has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day.
