History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. A freak accident while working with his Tanner mother left him crippled. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Tanner. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

History: Gilbert was raised in a hard working conservative environment. A gifted student he started as a Stableman, but he got bored and became a Bather. Some 5 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Gilbert never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.
