Personality: He is a Guard first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He has all his life been fascinated with poetry.

History: Shane lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Guard hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has worked as a Guard like his father before him.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Norman abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
