Description: This southern man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He wears a shirt that is too small, which lets his gut show, with a ratty white coat over it. His black hair is braided into rings. His amber eyes dart from person to person.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He is harsh and unforgiving.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He would ruin relationships and cause injury. He was reprimanded several times before being given his current form and forced to learn humility.

Motivation: He has decided he is irredeemable; and he possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal

Description: He wears an old set of leather armor, nicked and torn by the ravages of time and battle. His skin is fair and his fingers are delicate and long. He has a blonde handlebar mustache and slicked back blonde hair. His ears are large.

Personality: He is unhospitable to his core. His small house has "No trespassing" Signs all over it. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: He is a Maurezhi in disguise. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero.

Description: This malnourished man wears baggy tan pantaloons and a brown scarf. His hair is greying and his face has many wrinkles. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: When he was but 3 years old his parents immigrated from the south. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered poetry. He has never given up on his poetry dream.

Motivation: He feels threatened by others.

Description: Dark and lean, he is a relatively plain man. He wears a green vest and prefers brown and black shirts. His boots appear to have been at one point steel toed but are quite worn down. He has wavy red hair. He has blue eyes and a green hat with a brown feather.

Personality: He loves justice and goodness and right action. Anyone who does not fulfill this criteria perfectly will no doubt get a lecture from him. He is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Human in existence. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: He was born in a small island village. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Description: He prefers to wear red clothing when he does not wear armor. He carries with him a set of shortbows on his belt, each one with a topaz on the hilt. He has a long chestnut beard with little hanging trinkets. His gray eyes are passionate and lively.

Personality: Randal speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: Randal hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and wants to raise his children well
