History: Hubert hails from a village terrorized by illithids. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: Revenge; and he wants revenge against illithids

Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His mother was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and nothing but the best is good enough for him

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Adelard fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He's also a talented Doctor, but doesn't like to broadcast it.
