History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Ostracized due to the arcane powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

History: Nicholas was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Through the years after Nicholas was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Nicholas's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
