Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. As long as the job gets done he does not care how it got done.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and doesn't want to be a navigator and was forced into it by his family

History: A child with a great deal of poetry talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. He now mingles about in high society.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. Through the years after Dean was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Dean's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He now mingles about in high society.
