History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Roland has worked very hard to control his curse. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He seems to be bored by most things.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. A gifted student he started as a Ruler, but he got bored and became a Miller. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Richard is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. Ostracized due to the martial powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside.
