History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the east were limited. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the brigands.
