He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. Through the years after Clerebold was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a orcs raid, leaving Gerald alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
