History: Conrad hails from a village terrorized by giants. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: Wants to have a good time and be beloved; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His parents were killed by dire rats in a raid when he was still a young child. The dire rats captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He has achieved small success as a Layabout.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Layabout responsibilities is difficult; and he is unsatisfied with his job
