History: He was born in the north. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

History: Cory lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His mother worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled mother and took his mother's old job. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Seamstress they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Map Maker, and he later adopted a second son.
