Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: Hugh hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He became a Unemployed soon after.

Personality: Gilbert is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Carpenter and was forced into it by his family; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage
