History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. A freak accident while working with his Blacksmith father left him crippled. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Through the years after Anselm was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Anselm's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone.
