Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Nicholas was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the gnolls.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Locksmith work with an outfit from a few towns over. Locksmith work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 14 years.

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage son.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Nicholas was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Carpenter hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Carpenter.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: To prove his worth to the world; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Personality: He is someone who is used to having a large amount of sex appeal. He also lacks a concept of privacy and shares just about everything. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: Gifted from a young age, John studied abroad. His mother was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. He leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever he goes.
