History: He was born in a small plains village. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Rolf and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions
