History: Born in the south to a Painter, Ernest learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. His childhood dream was to be a Shepherd, but he was a colossal failure. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Conrad liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Bertram was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He has never given up on his writing dream.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and a strong sense of loyalty to human people
