Personality: In the realm of puns, he cannot help himself. He feels obliged to make them. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of brigands may trigger it at times.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His parents were killed by brigands in a raid when he was still a young child. The brigands captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. At a young age his father died while driving off some orcs. His mother being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in morningstar use. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by orcs. Bernard was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the orcs.

Motivation: He wants revenge against orcs; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and he desires to right it
