History: He was raised in a desert tribe. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Engraver. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Miner.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and wants to open a new tavern

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Conrad was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the illithids.
