History: He comes from a rich western family. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Bertram liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He now spends his time doing works of charity.
