History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His druidic abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He married young, but lost his spouse to drow. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
