History: When he was but 3 years old his parents immigrated from the south. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Everard's homeland. Everard decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.
