Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Randal embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his writing with anyone who is interested.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. Randal liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Don decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.
