He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes goblins are coming to abduct people. He disdains his fellow northerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Heward was born on a far northern forest where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Barkeep. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was born in the north. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his mother's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered drow who tried to eat his hand. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: A deep hatred of drow; and someone believes him a fraud

History: He was born at the edge of vast mountains. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and he doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes
