History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Dilettante hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Born in the north to a Marshal, Gunter learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.
