History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Description: He dresses in black turtlenecks beneath a yellow coat with black slacks. He is portly but not overly obese. His red hair is well kept and his bushy mustache is tapered upwards at the ends. His violet eyes lackadaisically let the world flow into them.

Personality: He is a Fortune-teller first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He constantly seizes attention wherever he goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. He likes to think of himself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Roland was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Fortune-teller work with an outfit from a few towns over. Fortune-teller work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.
