Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. He is however nostalgic and wants to reunite with his old comrades. He has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Bertram abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

He refers to his adoptive mother for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and retire the richest man in the east

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and he is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally

Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. He disdains his fellow westerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.
