When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

History: Nicholas was born the youngest of three triplets. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He tends to his Cartwright job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Personality: Conrad is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He works hard and plays hard.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and doesn't want to be a mayor and was forced into it by his family
