He prefers to carry a shortbow, but if one is not available he will default to his morningstar, and is pretty ugly. His hair is long and black with streaks of chestnut, and is pulled back with small blue clips. His beard is chestnut, braided, and well cared for. His eyes are blue and he is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: Bernard is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: Born to a Stableman, his mother struggled to pay the bills. In his 12th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Doctor. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it; and he has passion for adventuring and risk
