He carries with him a set of shields, each one with a sapphire on the hilt. He only wears one on his belt and the other on his back. He has a black handlebar mustache and slicked back black hair. His eyes are blue and catlike.

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. He is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. He likes to tell stories.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Roland alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Roland fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

He prefers to wear fine silks, though has several suits of combat armor for his hunting needs. He wears his hair in dreadlocks. He has hazel eyes.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.

Personality: He is enamored with his job. He loves it. He likes the challenge and he likes helping those less fortunate than him. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Cory grew up listening to his mother's many stories. Over the years he perfected his riding and shooting skills. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: Meet up once more with his childhood friend.

Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He worked as a nervous Barber and found it very stressful. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: Wants to have a good time and be beloved.
