He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. Through the years after Bertram was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Bertram's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Description: This man stands a little under 6'2" and is a bit bulky. He is very muscular particularly in the legs. He wears tattered old clothes. He has wavy golden hair. His eyes are likewise brown. His teeth are yellowed and unaligned.

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He constantly seizes attention wherever he goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. He likes to think of himself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: Patrick lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Shoemaker.

Motivation: He doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes.

Personality: He has a good heart but also a terrible temper. He will forgive often but not before yelling and berating someone for whatever they have done wrong. He lacks restraint and is impulsive. He jumps in and acts without thinking all too often.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Adventurer arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He worked as a nervous Adventurer and found it very stressful. He has achieved small success as a Adventurer.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother
