Courier work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He tends to his Courier job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

He wishes to return this artifact and its corrupting influence back to where it came.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs
