History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. Cursed with unlife at a very young age, Adelard has worked very hard to control his curse. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality.

Description: This light-skinned male wears baggy grey pantaloons and a black scarf. He is tall, broad shouldered and powerfully built. His long white hair reaches down to his waist. His eyes are likewise violet.

Personality: He likes to be helpful to his clients. He likes to prescribe proper advice to his clients. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. He found a children's book about a Human Fighter who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. During his travels, Bernard and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Bernard discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Bernard fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

Motivation: Revenge; and obtaining odd cultural human artifacts is his passion

Description: A man of a pale complexion, he wears red robes with leather pauldrons. Though occasionally he wears more armor. He prefers to carry a falchion, but if one is not available he will default to his shortbow. His white hair is cut short. His eyes are amber and catlike.

Personality: He's a bit of a prankster. He knows he is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. The war was a terrible time for him, and Lewis does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Lewis hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. He married young, but lost his spouse to dire rats. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Lewis was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the dire rats.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and many dire rats want him driven away
