History: Gifted from a young age, Ernest studied abroad. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality; and obtaining odd cultural human artifacts is his passion

Being a Laborer kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order.
