Personality: He runs his personal life as if detached from it. He organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits he will get from it. Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: Roland hails from a village terrorized by giants. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Roland alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Roland was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the giants.

His father, a somewhat powerful mage sought to protect him and cast a teleportation spell that whisked him away. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture.
