History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Godfrey was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Godfrey's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Godfrey and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Born in the east his family was never financially stable. Through the years after Roland was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east.
