He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Description: This late middle aged man is wearing a long, black cloak and is in decent physical shape. His black hair and beard is wavy and long. His face is full, his cheeks are rosy, and he always seems to sport a perfect smile and a twinkle in his amber eyes.

Personality: He is filled with cunning. He likes to feign weakness letting people think he is weak. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Aldous is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He tends to his Locksmith job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and he desires to right it; and to be a merchant again

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Spice Merchant. He has dedicated himself to building a better village for his children.

Motivation: A deep hatred of gnolls; and sabotage a competitor

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes drow are coming to abduct people. He is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of him. He is by nature obliging.

History: Bertram was born in the south. At a young age he loved to build and create. He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. He tends to his Marshal job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge.

History: A child with a great deal of music talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. Now he works as a music tutor during his time off.
