History: Bertram lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found.

Description: He prefers to wear flannel. His skin is fair and his fingers are delicate and long. His auburn hair is greasy and uncared for. His violet unseeing eyes seem to look past you.

Personality: He is unhospitable to his core. His small house has "No trespassing" Signs all over it. As he has aged he has sought to do reparations for his actions as a youth. He is also making sure that his compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Aldous grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Aldous. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Painter hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He would like to get married and retire.

History: Ralf hails from a village terrorized by giants. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: He wants revenge against giants; and expand his business
