History: Lance was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Lance fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

He found a children's book about a Human Fighter who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.
