History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Description: A pudgy man standing about 5'1" has a big stupid grin on his face most of the time. He wears an old set of leather armor, nicked and torn by the ravages of time and battle. Sporting a white mohawk and bushy mustache this man's hair draws a lot of attention. He wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.

Personality: He is a jovial happy person, but he is convinced people are living their lives too quickly. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Guard but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: Gifted from a young age, Heward studied abroad. Heward was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Heward decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. Being a Guard kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

He did whatever it took for him to survive. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Mayor.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Mayor responsibilities is difficult; and he's in love
