Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk he knows how to make people feel guilty. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Hugh is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. Some 6 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Hugh never married again. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Tanner for the past few years.
