He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Personality: Hubert wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Fighter, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Hubert was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Hubert fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever
