History: He was born into a rich family. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Arnold alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Heward hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Adventurer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He's also a talented Mayor, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: He wants revenge against dire rats; and balancing his hectic life and new adventurer responsibilities is difficult
